A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a parent or carer of a Broadfield Primary School pupil to join our Local Governing Body as a Parent Governor. This isn't just a position—it's your chance to play a vital role in shaping the future of our school and ensuring every child gets the best possible education.

Be the Voice of Parents: As a Parent Governor, you will be the key link between the school's leadership and the entire parent community. Your input ensures that parents’ perspectives are heard at the highest level of strategic decision-making.
Impact Strategic Decisions: You will be actively involved in the school's direction, contributing to strategic planning and providing supportive challenge to school leaders. This means you help ensure the school is always striving for excellence in the education and well-being of all pupils.
Develop New Skills: No previous experience is necessary! We are looking for commitment, a genuine interest in our pupils' success, and good communication skills. You will receive full training and support to help you grow and succeed in this important role.

What Does the Role Involve?

You'll be part of a dedicated team of volunteers that guides the school's direction. Your key contributions will include:

Attending four Local Governing Body meetings per year (Thursdays at 4.30 pm).
Engaging in discussions with probing questions and being well-prepared.
Helping to set the school's long-term vision and strategy.
Promoting the school’s interests within the local community.
