Our Animation and Film After-School Club is the perfect place for you to unleash your creativity and have a blast with your friends!

In this club, you’ll get to:

  • Create Your Own Cartoons: Learn how to bring your drawings to life with fun animation techniques.
  • Make Mini Movies: Be the director, writer, and star of your very own short films.
  • Explore Special Effects: Discover the secrets behind the coolest movie magic and try them out yourself!
  • Watch and Learn: Enjoy screenings of each other’s creations and get inspired by the pros.

What does the Club Offer?

We use stop motion apps, flip paper animation as well as Play-Doh and caricatures to create the short pieces of animation.

Children use their time to explore and investigate the Apps, the manipulatives and the iPad before planning and creating ideas.

We film short trailers and videos linked to children’s topic and hobbies to develop their creative skills and confidence.

We also design and create simple animations also known as GIF’s. GIF stands for Graphics Interchange Format. GIF is an image format that is used for basic images found on the internet. GIF files allow images or frames to be combined, creating animations. It is a quick way to produce basic animation before trying to build on the skills to produce much larger stop motion animations.

Children are advised to seek permission from their parents before downloading any free apps on to their personal devices. This is to promote e-safety. This will allow children to continue developing their skills at home!
