Broadfield School believes that the wearing of a school uniform and a smart appearance fosters a sense of unity, belonging and maintains our high standards. All uniform can be purchased from Wynsors World of Shoes on Ashton Road or can be ordered directly from our supplier at Schooltrends
Our uniform consists of:
- Navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan with embroidered school logo
- Mustard yellow polo shirt
- Grey skirt or pinafore dress, trousers or shorts, blue gingham summer dress
- Dark coloured or plain white socks
- Headscarf worn above shoulder length in navy blue/black/grey
- Navy blue/black/grey/mustard yellow (school colours) plain headband/hair clips/bobbles
- Sensible black outdoor shoes (these need to be flat – high heels and platforms are not allowed).
Please note, your child’s name must be in all uniform items.
Children in nursery must also wear a school uniform.
In the interest of safety and security, jewellery is not allowed to be worn other than a watch and small stud earrings for pierced ears.
Physical Education (PE)
All children take part in PE lessons and games every week. Year 4 also go swimming as part of the curriculum every week. Children can come to school in their PE kit on outdoor games days – your child’s teacher will advise which day of the week this is.
Indoor Kit
- Navy blue/black shorts or gym skirt (plain and without branded logos)
- Mustard yellow or white t-shirt (plain and without branded logos)
- Black pumps or bare feet
Outdoor Games
- Navy blue/black tracksuit (plain and without branded logos)
- Black or white trainers
Swimming
- Towel
- Swimming costume
- Swimming hat for children with long hair
Hair
- ‘Extreme’ hairstyles are not allowed such as logos shaved in hairlines.
- Navy blue/black/mustard yellow hair bobble or headband in school uniform colours.
Lost Property
If your child misplaces an item of school uniform, please do not assume that it has been lost permanently. Please ask your child to check carefully or speak to your child’s class teacher.
All personal property should be clearly named. The school does not accept responsibility for loss of personal property and valuables. Children should not bring valuables to school such as mobile phones, electronic games, cameras or large sums of money.
