Going the Extra Mile

On Friday 21st March 2014, children and staff at Broadfield Primary School took part in a variety of sports activities to help raise money for this year's Sports Relief.

During a school assembly children were shown a video about a 10 year old child working in a gold mine in Ghana. These shocking conditions helped raise awareness of how disadvantaged people live and inspired children to go the extra mile to raise as much money as possible.

The Fruit Route

Some of our families, along with our Eco councillors, had the opportunity to plant damson trees as part of a council initiative called 'The Fruit Route.'

Broadfield Tell Tales!

On the 24th of February 2014 storyteller, Tony Wilson, came to visit Broadfield Primary School to help children develop their story telling skills. He inspired children to tell their own stories in fun and interesting ways. He even sang a song to help children remember the key parts of a story.
