This week, the children in Unit 3 and 4 were lucky enough to have a session with Google Expeditions. This meant that they used Google Cardboard headsets to explore 360 degree photos and films. This is a form a virtual reality guided tour, enabling us to visit far away places without leaving the classroom.
Classes went into the water to look at sharks, into space to stand on the Moon's surface in Neil Armstrong's footsteps, and to the pyramids in Egypt - amongst many others amazing things!
The children were incredibly excited about the new technology and the feedback from both children and staff was overwhelmingly positive. Our new digital leaders group would like to further explore how VR can be used to enhance our learning even further.
